Urban Farming Program
We have started a backyard garden program in collaboration with Langston University Agricultural Extension. We had our kickoff meeting and are currently in the process of setting up the gardens. The goal of this program is two fold: 1) To provide healthy food options for people living in a food desert. 2) To generate economic activity in North Tulsa by encouraging sale of home grown vegetables in farmers markets and retail establishments.
First Nations Initiative
The Khan Ohana Foundation's First Nations Committee is back from its very successful Pine Ridge visit. Our Vice President Crystal Isaacs met many people and made useful contacts. We are looking forward to a great year of collaborating with reservation families to chart a path out of poverty for them. Thank you everyone for your time and support! Be blessed.
Thanksgiving distribution was a big success. Check out our fb page for picture.
