Arab Film Fest - Sudan, Remember Us

Arab Film Fest Tulsa returns with acclaimed films and docs from the SWANA (Southwest Asia + North Africa) region, offering complex, authentic narratives from a spectrum of contemporary Arab world life and intersecting nationalities, plus catered receptions, live talks, and community partnerships.

Sudan, Remember Us is part of Sunday’s focus: THROUGH REVOLUTIONARY EYES–Sudan & Lebanon docs. Come early for a FREE hour-long special talk from Houston-based non-profit Decolonize Sudan and stay after the film for a reception catered by Ifriqiya Eats with support from Khan Ohana Foundation, followed immediately by the captivating, intimate Lebanese revolution doc We Never Left.

ABOUT THE TEACH-IN & DECOLONIZE SUDAN
Suad Abdel Aziz, Sudanese human rights lawyer and Decolonize Sudan Executive Director, will offer wider political framing and deeper context for the current situation in Sudan. She will discuss the roots of the conflict and the political aspirations and realities uniting Sudanese people today and share reflections on pathways for meaningful solidarity and advocacy.
